Big news! I am in the process of adding recommended sewing experience levels to each Tie Dye Diva pattern that I hope will help you choose the patterns that are right for your level of experience. Look for them to be added to each pattern listing during this month. The levels are as follows:
Beginner: Basic familiarity with sewing machine and basic sewing tools. Able to sew a straight line as well as manuever the machine around curves. Either familiar with gathering fabric or can follow the provided instructions for gathering.
Advanced Beginner: Has completed several sewing projects. Able to perform slightly more difficult sewing techniques such as sewing a buttonhole (though the patterns with buttonholes also have alternate instructions), matching seams precisely, enclosing a raw edge of fabric in bias tape, or working with knit fabric.
Intermediate: Has completed many sewing projects. Able to perform more complex sewing techniques such as turning a small bias tube, pressing a tightly curved hem, sewing a curved “princess” style seam or able to follow provided instructions to do so. ****
Thank you to the 100+ Tie Dye Diva customers who completed the sewing level survey to help me with this process! I loved reading your responses and sincerely appreciate the time each one of you took to fill out the survey. And as promised, I’ve drawn a winner of a 5-pack of patterns from the first 100 survey results:
The 73rd survey was returned by lindsey…@yahoo.com, and I’ve emailed her to ask for her 5 choices. Congrats!

And the last but not least of the news – I am feeling so badly that my dear friend Heather, known to most as Goosie Girl, was recently injured and is unable to work. A group of boutique friends have joined together to help her out with a benefit auction, the proceeds of which will go 100% to Goosie, please come check out the auction album on Facebook to see what’s available that you might need! Tie Dye Diva has donated a rare offering – the sample set from the cover of the brand new RufflePOP! Skirt pattern. The set includes the Euro-style skirt and the embellished tank and is ready to ship in size 4/5. More details at the link.
